Transfer rumours continue to swirl ahead of the potential business Liverpool may conduct this summer.

The Reds will officially be able to complete new signings from June 14 when the window opens. New head coach Arne Slot looks set to have a busy summer in the Anfield hotseat as he prepares for his first Premier League campaign on Merseyside.

Liverpool have already been linked with several potential new signings even before the transfer window officially opens. The speculation is likely to continue right up until the window closes at the end of the summer.

Some of the latest rumours concern Liverpool potentially signing a defender and a new forward.

According to De Telegraaf, Liverpool remain in the race to sign Feyenoord defender Lutsharel Geertruida. The report states that the Reds still face competition from Tottenham Hotspur, and adds that Arsenal have now entered the running.

It has been claimed that Feyenoord are preparing for Geertruida to leave the Eredivisie club this summer, and expect one of the aforementioned trio - which includes Liverpool - to make a move. The report claims that Geertruida, whose contract expires in 2025, is valued by Feyenoord at around €32 million (£27 million).

Elsewhere, Liverpool are once again being linked with a move for Real Madrid star Rodrygo. The Brazilian recently helped the La Liga giants win the Champions League with victory in the final over Borussia Dortmund.

According to Spanish news outlet Nacional, Liverpool are looking to take advantage of the uncertainty surrounding Rodrygo's future at the Santiago Bernabeu this summer. The report states that with the arrival of Kylian Mbappe, the chances of Rodrygo leaving the club have now increased.

It has been claimed that Madrid would allow Rodrygo to leave the club if he expressed a desire to do so. It seems o specific price tag has been placed on Rodrygo's head, but the report does say that Liverpool would need to pay a fee in excess of €100 million (£84 million) to sign the Brazilian this summer.
