Weather experts are predicting another mini heatwave for Liverpool in the coming weeks after temperatures reached 22C in the city and beyond on Sunday.

Meteorologists at Accuweather forecast similarly warm conditions on Monday, May 20, but with considerably more cloud. We can expect highs of 20C in Liverpool, with a real feel of 21C, and about the same again on Tuesday.

Things will then turn cooler on Wednesday, when we can expect maximum temperatures of 17C - that will feel more like 15C - along with some rain and drizzle.

Then, the rest of this coming week looks to be a mixture of cooler temperatures, cloud, and showers. But if you're a fan of warmth and sunshine, there is some good news.

According to Accuweather's long-range forecast, we can expect another mini heatwave next month, and it is anticipated to last for and entire week. Between Tuesday June 11 and Monday June 17, we can expect highs of 21-24C and plenty of sunny spells, experts have said.

However, it will turn cooler once the sun goes down, with lows of around 10-12C overnight. Then, on Tuesday, June 18, we can expect highs of 20C, but a very cloudy day, Accuweather has said.

Elsewhere the Met Office, in its UK long-range forecast, has said the period between June 3-17 will see "temperatures and rainfall [to both be] most-likely a little above average, with further rain or showers but also spells of warm sunshine".
