Note: this article contains BIG spoilers for Living with Yourself season one.

Living with Yourself, starring Aisling Bea and two of Paul Rudd, dropped on Netflix on Friday (October 18) and if you've already binged your way to the end of its eight-episode run, you're likely to have been left with one big fat question.

Who is the father of Kate's baby?

Miles and, well, Miles came head-to-head (quite literally) after finding out that the new version of himself had slept with the old version of himself's wife. Keeping up?

Tension and frustration finally bubbled over to the point that Miles almost killed his cloned self. But having smothered new Miles with a cushion, old Miles instantly regretted his actions and ended up saving his life with mouth-to-mouth.

"You want to know what I hate about you the most?" new Miles asked old Miles after he came to. "You got to wake up next to her every day. For 10 years. All I've got are memories... And those aren't even real. I just wanted your life. I loved your life."

"I loved it too," old Miles agreed. "I'm sorry."

The pair then ended up hugging it out, finally accepting each other and becoming friends.

"I don't want to kill you," one said, "I don't want to kill you either," the other confirmed.

A strong foundation for any relationship, you could argue.

Kate then walked into the room to find both Mileses surrounded by the mess their fight had caused. Spotting the discarded axe on the floor, she said, "Well, I see you two talked."

Turning the conversation to her recent infidelity (does it count if you sleep with another version of your actual husband?) she said: "I am so so sorry. I betrayed you. I betrayed us. And there is no excuse. None. Except to say that this has all been a monumentally confusing time."

That's an understatement.

"But there's one thing that's clear now," Kate continued to old Miles. "And that's that you are my husband, Miles. Not him [new Miles]."

New Miles looked pretty devastated. "Okay, I'll be gone by tonight," he said, admitting defeat.

But Kate stepped in: "No one should go anywhere quite just yet...

"I'm pregnant."

Talk about an EastEnders' duff-duff-worthy moment.

Considering the cloning situation, not only does Kate not know who fathered her baby, she also won't have any way of finding out, considering that both potentials share identical DNA. Awkward.

But old Miles, after letting the bombshell sink in, decided that he was chuffed regardless.

"I'll tell you what it means," he said. "We're going to have a baby!"

New Miles looked pretty delighted by the end of it too, and the three of them hugged it out.

And that, our friends, is where season one ends.

What does this mean for our central characters?

Well, Living with Yourself season two hasn't been confirmed or announced yet, but this plot twist certainly welcomes a continuation of the story.

During a recent interview with Digital Spy, both leading stars of the show discussed what they thought the baby news might mean for their characters – and, more specifically, whether Old Miles and New Miles could ever co-exist with himself.

"That's the big question,"Aisling told us and other press. "I suppose one thing we left on a cliffhanger was... like, part of the reason of them being friends… but then what does that mean for me? What does that mean for our relationship?"

"So there's all of the repercussions of that," she added.

When asked whether or not a Kate clone could be on the cards, Aisling joked: "Seven more. Great. Who knows?"

"I mean, it's written by Tim [Timothy Greenberg]. And I think what happens as well with shows is that you listen to what the audience connects with, and what part of the stories they liked, and what part of the stories they don’t really connect with," she continued. "I’m just speaking as a writer from that point of view, but I don’t know if that's how Tim works."

Basically, everything seems up in the air at the moment and open to all possibilities.

But if a second season does get the go-ahead, we should finally get some answers.

Living with Yourself is available now on Netflix.
