Llandudno: Goats from famous herd which roamed town during lockdown are killed in crash

Four goats from a herd which found fame during the COVID pandemic have been killed after a crash.

The Kashmiri goats, from Great Orme, became well-known after they explored the locked-down town centre of Llandudno, Conwy, in March 2020.

North Wales Police confirmed they attended the scene of the crash on Sunday evening at 9.10pm.

The force said the collision happened on the A470 Wormhout Way in Llandudno.

Police said it involved "a car and some goats that were loose on the road".

"Officers attended along with local authority highways department, and our enquiries into the incident are currently ongoing," a spokesperson said.

A Conwy Council spokesperson confirmed four goats were killed in the incident.

A spokesperson for the RSPCA said it was "so very sad to hear that a number of goats have been killed".
