Apr. 15—Plan Commission to meet Tuesday

GOSHEN — The Goshen Plan Commission will meet at 4 p.m. Tuesday, Council Chambers, 111 E. Jefferson St.

The public hearing session will include discussion of creating three lots for single unit residential development at the northeast corner of Zollinger Road and Middlebury Street.

Committee meeting set for Wednesday

NAPPANEE — The Nappanee Public Library Board of Trustees Policy Committee will meet Wednesday at 3:30 p.m. to discuss library and employee policies.

The meeting will take place in the conference room at the library, 157 N. Main St.

School trustees to meet Tuesday

SYRACUSE — The Wawasee Community School Board will meet at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Wawasee Professional Learning Center, 801 S. Sycamore St.

Future board meetings will also take place at this location, a news release stated.

Free concert set for tonight

SOUTH BEND — More than 275 students and teachers from four South Bend high schools will perform together in a joint concert this evening at The Morris Performing Arts Center located at 211 N. Michigan St.

The concert will start at 7 p.m. and admission is free, a news release stated.

The concert will feature 20 musical ensembles including bands, choirs, orchestras, and jazz ensembles, from Adams, Clay, Riley and Washington high schools. These ensembles have previously received Gold Medals at Indiana State School Music Association competitions.

Before the concert, the students will gather at The Morris for a joint rehearsal in the afternoon. After the rehearsal, a dinner will take place for the students at the Palais Royale.

"This concert is a first-time event at The Morris and provides an opportunity for many of the students to perform on this prestigious stage," the release added.

The event is part of the Arts Equity program, which aims to promote diversity in performers and audiences at The Morris. This program is being coordinated by Mark Zache, K-12 Fine Arts/Steam Coordinator for the South Bend School Corporation.

Library trustees to meet Tuesday

GOSHEN — The Goshen Public Library Board of Trustees will meet at 4 p.m. Tuesday.

The meeting will take place at the library auditorium, 601 S. 5th St.

Check-up Days set for April, May

KENDALLVILLE — Parkview Noble Hospital and Parkview LaGrange Hospital are teaming up with the Parkview Center for Healthy Living to offer Check-Up Day events for area residents this spring. Check-Up Day makes it convenient to obtain common lab tests at a reduced cost.

Parkview Noble's event will take place April 24, from 7 to 9:30 a.m. at The Community Learning Center, 401 E. Diamond St., Kendallville. Then May 18, Parkview LaGrange will host an event from 7-9:30 a.m. in Conference Rooms A and B on the lower level of that hospital, located at 207 N. Townline Road, LaGrange.

Pre-registration is required, and participants must register for a Check-Up Day event in advance by calling 260-347-8125. Make sure to leave a voicemail if a Parkview Center for Healthy Living team member is unavailable to take a call. Payment may be made in advance, or by cash, check or credit card at the event.
