Jan. 24—Third House returns

GOSHEN — Third House, a forum where legislators give updates on what they are working on and answer questions from the public, will begin this Friday at the Goshen Chamber of Commerce, 232 S. Main St. The dates are all Fridays at 8 a.m. at the Chamber building and include: this Friday, Feb. 9 and March 8.

Elkhart

Greater Elkhart Chamber of Commerce will host the first Third House Meeting of this year's legislative session at noon this Friday at 418 S. Main St., Elkhart. The meeting will also be available on Zoom.

Indiana legislators invited to the Third House meetings include Rep. Joanna King, Rep. Doug Miller, Rep. Timothy Wesco, Sen. Blake Doriot, and Sen. Linda Rogers.

Additional Third House meetings will be held Feb. 9 and March 8 from noon-1:30 p.m.

Police pension board to meet

GOSHEN — An executive session and election of the Goshen Police Pension Board will take place at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Goshen Police Department, 111 E. Jefferson St.

The Pension Board will review information about one or more prospective employees and discuss records classified as confidential by state or federal statutes. No other subject matters will be discussed.

Goshen Theater to host several events

GOSHEN — On Thursday, the Visual Arts Series: The Boys and Girls Club of Elkhart County Artist Reception will take place from 5-7 p.m.

The public is invited to join the Boys & Girls Club of Elkhart County young artists as they show off their artwork for the year. Along with the artists' reception, there will be an awards show.

The artwork can be seen anytime during Goshen Theater Box Office hours, Tuesday through Friday from noon to 4 p.m. or during any public event.

dance classes

On Friday, GTDC: Latin Dance Studios classes begin. Students, ages 5 and older, are invited to join in on classes every Friday with teacher Nelitze Guilarte.

Tuition is $10 per class, with additional costs for costumes.

Final performance dates are still to be determined and will be announced as classes begin.

Classes are: 3-4 p.m., Latin Dance (ages 5-15) and 4-5:30 p.m., Latin Dance II (teens and adults).

On Saturday, Art House will present the culmination of its annual 24/7 Play Festival beginning at 8 p.m. at the Goshen Theater.

Seven writers will gather Friday to create seven original short plays. On Saturday morning, seven directors and 14 actors will receive these scripts and rehearse throughout the day.

At 8 p.m., all seven short plays will be performed for the public.

Nurse practitioner joins urology practice

GOSHEN — Board-certified Nurse Practitioner Morgan Danielson joined Goshen Physicians Urology. She evaluates and treats adults and some pediatric patients with health issues related to the upper and lower urinary tract system.

Danielson specializes in minimally invasive procedures to help patients with urinary urgency and incontinence, including percutaneous tibial nerve stimulation (PTNS). She also is trained in non-surgical techniques to treat pelvic organ prolapse and stress urinary incontinence.

"Nurse practitioners, like Morgan, help patients who suffer from kidney, bladder and urinary tract health issues get back to enjoying their daily routines," said Randy Christophel, Goshen Health President and Chief Executive Officer. "Morgan's advanced training in minimally invasive procedures will give patients with urinary urgency or incontinence greater access to the care they need."

Danielson earned a Master of Science in Nursing and Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Indiana University in South Bend. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and Culture from Indiana University in Bloomington.
