Locomotive adventure awaits at Superhero Superpower Weekend

The Eastleigh Lakeside Railway will be hosting a "Superhero Superpower Weekend" on July 13 and 14.

The event centres on combating the villainous 'Doctor Diesel', aiming to convert all steam engines to diesel. In addition, he threatens to steal the Lakeside Country Park's gold reserves to sustain future endeavours.

The heroes, 'Captain Coal' and 'Water Woman', need the public's assistance to save the railway and the gold. Each child attending will receive a Mission Pack with daylong tasks.

A variety of activities awaits at the end of the Green, including a chance to drive a locomotive and meet the superheroes. Attendees are encouraged to wear fancy dress to the event.

Special event tickets are mandatory for participation and are available at steamtrain.co.uk for pre-booking or purchase on the day.

The event starts at 10am and finishes at 4.30pm.
