Yahoo News Loki season 2 debuts with huge Disney+ viewing figures
Loki season 2 premiered last week, and has done incredibly well for Disney+.
As reported by Deadline, the debut episode of the sophomore run racked up 10.9 million global views across its first three days (Disney works out its views by total streaming time divided by length of the content).
The publication claims that the only other Disney+ show to have a bigger premiere in 2023 is The Mandalorian season 3, although the only data cited is "about 823 million viewing minutes in its first few days" so it's not the most direct comparison.

Still, it's a very impressive debut for the Marvel Cinematic Universe's latest, especially following the relative box office disappointment of Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania and the tepid response to Secret Invasion.
Loki's return has done better critically than both projects as well, with a solid score on Rotten Tomatoes, meaning that lots of critics have given season 2 at least a generally positive review.
Given the success of the second season so far, it might seem like a third is inevitable, but producer Kevin Wright left the question of a third season open in a recent interview.

He said: "We take it season by season, and there are certainly things that Tom and I and other casts have talked about of where we see this going, and I know there’s some excitement for that internally, but just from a storytelling standpoint, I think we always conceived of seasons 1 and 2 as a whole...
"That these are two chapters of the same book, and that season 2 is finishing that book, and there are other stories to be told there, but I think they would be new books, if that’s not too coy."
Loki season 1 is streaming on Disney+. Season 2 drops new episodes every week.
