Loki's Wunmi Mosaku announced for brand new ITV thriller series
Loki's Wunmi Mosaku is set to star in ITV's upcoming darkly comic thriller series Passenger.
Filming for the series written by Broadchurch star and debut screenwriter Andrew Buchan has begun in Cornholme, North of Manchester, with Mosaku in the lead role of former Met Police Detective Riya Ajunwa.
Produced by SISTER in association with Northern Sister for ITVX and ITV1, Passenger is set in the small Northern village of Chadder Vale, where the lives of the close-knit community are upended by a series of mysterious supernatural events.

Since relocating to Chadder Vale five years prior, Mosaku's Riya has been looking for a big case that will make her feel alive again. She seems to have found just the one when local girl Katie Wells vanishes into thin air, leaving behind her car with blood on the seats.
When Katie reappears the following day, safe and sound, no one asks any questions. But Riya thinks something is definitely off as the village is plagued by increasingly horrific crimes that prompts her to investigate further.
Cast also include Shameless's David Threlfall as Jim Bracknell, Daniel Ryan (The Bay) as Derek Jackson, Rowan Robinson (So Awkward) as Katie Wells, Barry Sloane (Six) as Eddie Wells, Natalie Gavin (Gentleman Jack) as Joanne Wells, Nico Mirallegro (My Mad Fat Diary, Rillington Place) as Kane Jackson, Hubert Hanowicz (This Is Going To Hurt) as Jakub Makowski and Jack James Ryan (Coronation Street) as John Trowbridge.
Matilda Freeman (Alma's Not Normal), Shervin Alenabi (Baghdad In My Shadow), Ella Bruccoleri (Call The Midwife) and Arian Nik (The Bay) also star.

Mosaku will next be seen in the second season of Disney+ and Marvel series Loki, with Tom Hiddleston as the titular trickster.
The His House actress will reprise the role of Hunter B-15 in the upcoming instalment, admitting the stakes are higher this time around in an exclusive chat with Digital Spy.
"To come back to season 2 to see everybody and be like: 'Oh, we did this' – that was really fun. That was just really new. I think I felt a little bit more... I think I felt a little bit more nervous," Mosaku said earlier this month. "I hope we live up to season 1, because... that obviously went down well, because we're here at season 2."
Passenger's release date is yet to be announced. Loki season 1 is streaming on Disney+. Season 2 has been confirmed.
