Two London buses crashed, one into a house and the other into a bus stop, and another caught fire yesterday (Saturday, May 18). Passengers were forced to flee one of the city's iconic red vehicles moments before it burst into flames in a busy road in Twickenham.

30 firefighters tackled a blaze after the single decker diesel bus caught fire. The incident occurred as it was driving down Richmond Road. Smoke emerged and the bus stopped.

All the passengers and its driver got off the vehicle. Nobody is believed to be injured.

Footage has also emerged online of a bus that appears to have crashed into a bus stop. The E5 service was destined for Perivale Tesco when the incident occurred.

A clip posted yesterday shows smashed glass and a police cordon. The front left of the bus seems to have collided with the stop, which is crumpled.

MyLondon has been told that the reported crash occurred in South Road, Southall.

A different video appears to show a bus after it 'ploughed into a home' in East Ham. The Daily Mail reports that this was in Claughton Road. A police cordon can be seen.

At least one patrol car is parked in the street, with a fire engine also present.

A police spokesperson said: "Emergency service were called at around 5pm on Saturday, May 18, to a bus in collision with a house in Claughton Road, E13. Police officers assisted partners including LFB in responding to the incident.

"There were no reported injuries. No arrest."
