Travellers are facing significant disruption after Victoria station was evacuated earlier, with some trains being diverted to other London terminals.

National Rail has said trains running through Victoria may be cancelled, delayed for up to 45 minutes or diverted to London Bridge following a fire alarm which meant all trains at the station ground to a halt.

Meanwhile, a points failure at Tulse Hill has caused disruption to all Thameslink and Southern lines that go through the area.

Elsewhere holidaymakers travelling to and from Heathrow are facing disruption with the closure of the Piccadilly line between the airport and Acton Town until Wednesday.There is also disruption on the Central Line due to the continued shortage of trains.

Passengers using Thameslink were facing major disruption on Monday morning with trains being delayed and cancelled and some not serving stations in south east London but this has since cleared up with only minor delays to the London Overground between Clapham Junction and Surrey Quays.

Disruption affecting services passing through Tulse Hill has now ended, according to National Rail.

Trains are now running normally following a points failure, meaning that there is no disruption on the lines between London Bridge and Beckenham Junction / East Croydon.

Thameslink services between St Albans and Sutton are also running normally.

Road closed in central London due to Palestine protest

Police have closed a main road in Whitehall as a large mass of pro-Palestine protesters gathered for a rally outside Downing Street.

The Met Police said officers had been deployed to a “static protest” on Whitehall, opposite Downing Street on Monday evening.

A picture published by the force showed a huge mass of protesters gathering at the site, carrying Palestinian flags and protest banners.

The southbound carriageway from Horse Guards Avenue to Parliament Square has been closed due to the protest, the Met said.

Disruption between Watford and Euston continues

Disruption to services between Watford Junction and London Euston is expected until 7.30pm, according to National Rail.

Trains running between these stations may be delayed by up to 25 minutes or cancelled.

Bakerloo Line part suspended

However, there is good service on the rest of the line.

This is due to a signalling problem at South Hampstead.

However, there is a good service on all other London Overground routes.

Disruption on south London train lines

According to National Rail, Southern services between London Bridge and Beckenham Junction/East Croydon are currently disrupted due to a points failure at Tulse Hill.

As a result, Southern services between East Croydon and London Bridge (via Tulse Hill / Peckham Rye) will be diverted via Forest Hill or cancelled.

Thameslink services between Sutton and London Blackfriars may have delays of up to 10 minutes, National Rail said.

Anti-Ulez campaigners block ‘every camera’ in London borough

A small number of Ulez opponents prevented about 80 enforcement cameras recording the numberplates of vehicles that fail to comply with Sadiq Khan’s clean air zone.

The protest, involving about 20 people, lasted for three hours in Sutton on Sunday afternoon. Signs were placed in front of the CCTV cameras to temporarily obstruct their view.
