Long queues across Liverpool as thousands arrive for Taylor Swift's second gig

Long queues have formed at Anfield and across Liverpool ahead of Taylor Swift’s second gig in Liverpool today.

The city hosted the 100th show of the Eras Tour last night with thousands of fans creating a special atmosphere at the home of Liverpool Football Club. Taylor delivered a special message to the 60,000 fans inside.

Some Swifties arrived at Anfield early this morning to get their pick of the standing area inside the stadium as thousands of fans arrived in the city.

The first in line to get in was Roseanne Kay, a 17 year-old from Sheffield who got to Anfield at 4.30am this morning. She told the ECHO: "I came down and listened to the show from the park and it was amazing. I wanted to hear the surprise songs and if she'd announce anything. There's been no issues at all.

“I came down last night and stayed over because it's my first time and I wanted to be first in line. I don't have a hotel so this was the only thing I could do too. I want to see her again but don't know if I'll ever have the chance because it's so crazy to get tickets but I'm excited to see her tonight."

In the past hour, fans have started to enter the stadium. Footage from the area shows long queues at the stadium to get in.

Taylor’s support act, Paramore, will be on stage at around 6.15pm, with Taylor beginning her performance after 7.30pm.

Other fans have chosen to stay in the city centre and head to the stadium later. Queues have also been spotted at the Metquarter shopping centre, which is part of the Taylor Town Trail of artwork.

The Metquarter features two pieces of art. One is a lilac-themed piece based on her Speak Now album while another is a Red Room, based on the Red album and packed full of Easter eggs. There is also a huge queue to sit on the Evermore chair in Liverpool ONE.
