Loose Women star Sophie Morgan calls for improved disabled access at 10 Downing Street
The presenter uses a wheelchair following a spinal injury
Loose Women star Sophie Morgan has called for improved disabled access at No 10 Downing Street.
The presenter, who requires a wheelchair, recently visited the Prime Minister's office as part of her campaign asking for improved rights on flights for disabled people.
And she noted that a temporary ramp had to be put in place.

Speaking on ITV’s Lorraine, Morgan suggested the issue should be addressed.
Today, we delivered Marion Fellow’s Open Letter asking for improved #RightsOnFlights for Disabled people, to No. 10.
Turns out, we might also need to ask for improved ACCESS for disabled people INTO No. 10…..😂.

"There is no wheelchair access into the building that represents so much for us," she explained.
"It makes me sad because I think, what if you are a young disabled person and you have aspirations to be a leader, to work in government, and you see something like that, it just sends the wrong message.
"And I know it’s an old building. And I know that there will be people who will say we can’t make everything accessible.
"But surely that building should think about access a little bit differently - should send a message that inclusion is important in this country."
She went on: "The fact that three of us all sitting there have to depend on a temporary ramp, it sends such a bad message. There was an irony that day when we got there – we thought, 'Oh wow, doesn’t that just tell you everything we need to know about what we are dealing with right now'."
Morgan’s Rights On Flights campaign came after she claimed earlier this year that her wheelchair was broken in transit on a flight.
She later shared on Instagram that after she spoke out, British Airways contacted her and apologised, and said they'd pay for any damage.
