Lord of the Rings actors spotted visiting Titanic Belfast

A number of stars have been spotted in Belfast after attending Northern Ireland Comic Con.

Big names from the world of comics, SiFi, film and TV attended the event in Lisburn to meet and interact with thousands of fans over the weekend.

Lord of the Rings trio Elijah Wood, Sean Astin and Bernard Hill were pictured visiting the city's Titanic Museum on Sunday.

Taking in one of Northern Ireland's most famous tourist attractions, it marked a significant moment for Bernard Hill who played the ship's captain in James Cameron's 1997 blockbuster Titanic.

In a social media post, Titanic Belfast shared pictures of the acclaimed actors posing with staff and exhibits on their visit to the museum.

The Facebook post read: "We were absolutely delighted to welcome Lord of the Rings actors Elijah Wood, Sean Astin and Bernard Hill to Titanic Belfast yesterday!

"Bernard also famously played Captain Smith in the film TITANIC, so it was a pleasure to be able to show them all around the birthplace of the famous ship here in Belfast!"
