Lorde and Charli XCX put feud 'to bed' on Girl, So Confusing remix

Lorde and Charli XCX have worked out their issues in a remix of the song Girl, So Confusing.

The British pop star has dropped a remix of the song, which appears on her sixth studio album Brat, featuring the New Zealand singer.

Soon after the album was released earlier this month, it was widely rumoured that the track was about Lorde.

In the song, Charli reflects on a complicated relationship with another female singer, with lyrics such as, "People say we're alike/ They say we've got the same hair/ We talk about making music/ But I don't know if it's honest."

In the remix, Lorde seemingly confirms the song is about her by singing, "Well honestly I was speechless/ When I woke up to your voice note / You told me how you've been feeling / Let's work it out on the remix.

"You'd always say, 'Let's go out'/ But then I'd cancel last minute/ I was so lost in my head/ And scared to be in the pictures."

Elsewhere in her verse, the Royals singer explains that she was "trapped in hatred" and Charli's life "seemed so awesome" but she had no idea her voice was in Charli's head.

They then team up for the pre-chorus, in which they sing, "And when we put this to bed/ The internet will go crazy."

On the day Brat was released, Lorde took to her Instagram Stories to gush about the Von Dutch hitmaker.

"The only album I've ever presaved is out today," the Green Light singer wrote. "Charli just cooked this one different... So much grit, grace and skin in the game. I speak for all of us when I say it's an honor to be moved, changed and gagged by her work. There is NO ONE like this b**ch."

The remix, titled The Girl, So Confusing Version with Lorde, is now available on streaming services.
