Lorraine Kelly has left fans stunned with her ageless appearance in a throwback photo from more than 20 years ago. The 64-year-old television presenter had famously interviewed Alan and Judith Kilshaw, the couple who made headlines after buying twin babies online in 2000, leading to a transatlantic controversy.

Back then, the Kilshaws were embroiled in a massive scandal when it was revealed they had unwittingly bought the same twins as another couple in the US.

Ahead of a Channel 5 documentary airing about the issue, Judith returned to the ITV Lorraine show on Tuesday, July 2 to recount the developments of their case, which ultimately left them without children and widely despised across the UK. Despite the outcome, she expressed to Lorraine that she harboured "no regrets".

At the start of the show, Lorraine informed viewers about what was in store, including a new sit-down with Judith Kilshaw. As she detailed the day's agenda, a brief clip flashed on screen showing the youthful Scottish presenter, reports the Mirror.

Sporting a shorter hairstyle and flawless makeup back in the day, Lorraine looked remarkably unchanged from her appearance over two decades ago.

In the footage, she is seen wearing a red buttoned sweater while interviewing Judith, who at the time was labelled "Britain's most hated woman".

An uproar ensued when it was revealed that Judith paid an astounding £8,200 to an "adoption broker" online for two twin girls who are now living under different names.

The Kilshaw's, parents of two boys, James and Rupert, longed for a third child even though Judith already had two daughters from a previous marriage.

The controversy heightened when the couple brought the newly acquired twins back to North Wales, resulting in them being taken under Flintshire social services' care before returning to the US.

A point of contention arose when it emerged that the twins had already been "sold" to an American couple, Vickie and Richard Allen, for £4,000, leaving neither couple with custody of the children.

Presenting Judith to her audience again, Lorraine announced: "Coming up in just a moment, she was called the most hated woman in Britain after trying to buy twins on the internet."

Adding weight to this delicate segment, a vintage video clip of the TV personality was shown, followed by Lorraine's words: "It has been 23 years since I spoke to Judith Kilshaw and she's going to be telling me why she has got no regrets and why she would do it again."
