Lorraine Kelly reveals gender of first grandchild in sweet family video

TV presenter Lorraine Kelly has revealed the gender of her first grandchild in a sweet video alongside her daughter Rosie Smith. Rosie is expecting her first child with her partner Steve Wright and Lorraine, who is known for presenting the ITV1 morning show Lorraine, is very excited for the arrival.

In a sweet video for Hello! Lorraine and Rosie revealed the gender of the baby. Ruby, Rosie's adorable dog, also appears in the video with the gender being revealed by a special dog-friendly cake. Want less ads? Download WalesOnline’s Premium app on Apple or Android.

In the video, Lorraine says: "This is very exciting! Ruby, this is a cake, especially for doggies, you are going to find out whether you are going to have a wee brother or a wee sister. Is it a boy or is it a girl?"

As Rosie cuts into the cake, Lorraine exclaims: "It is a pink cake! It's a girl! It's a girl Ruby-woo!" before hugging her daughter and saying: "Congratulations! That is amazing!" Lorraine, who has been married to Rosie's dad Steve Smith since 1992, is thrilled to be welcoming a new addition to the family at the beginning of September.

She told Hello!: "This is the most exciting thing to happen to our family, well, since Rosie was born. Last night, I felt the baby kick for the first time, which was extraordinary. It made it feel real." For the latest TV & Showbiz news, sign up to our newsletter

Rosie found out she was pregnant on New Year's Eve in 2023 and she and Lorraine announced the news in April 2024. Lorraine shared Rosie's baby scan photo on Instagram and said: "THE most exciting thing to have ever happened in our family! Cannot wait to be a granny and so proud of Rosie and her Steve."
