Lorraine Kelly has been spotted on her way to the Bafta TV awards with her daughter, Rosie after suffering a rather unfortunate wardrobe malfunction just hours before the glitzy ceremony.

The 64-year-old's daughter Rosie Smith, who announced her pregnancy last month, took to Instagram to show fans footage of Lorraine being assisted with her gorgeous gold gown which features fastening buttons all the way up the back of the dress.

The Scots host, who is set to receive a BAFTA Special Award at the Royal Festival Hall in London tonight, was seen lying face down on a sofa while two women carefully buttoned up her elegant gown as Rosie seized the opportunity to film the awkward moment.

She captioned the video: "Nailed the button technique and even Ruby helped" alongside a dancing emoji and tagged a bridal shop called @sassiholfordbridal.

The clip shows off the back of Lorraine's glamorous outfit which compliments her impressive figure as it cinches in at the waist and features an off shoulder design as well as a slit up the middle of the dress.

It seems everything turned out smoothly in the end as Rosie also posted a snap of her and her mum smiling in the car on the way to tonight's awards with Lorraine holding up a BAFTA envelope as she grinned for the camera.

Lorraine is due to be given a Special Award at the BAFTA Television Awards with P&O Cruises on Sunday 12 May 2024, at the Royal Festival Hall in London.

She is set to receive one of BAFTA's highest honours for her outstanding contribution to television which was previously revealed to her by Susanna Reid in a surprise announcement live on air during the Lorraine show, which the Scots host has now fronted for thirty years.

Speaking of her award, the soon to be grandmother gushed: “Finding out on-air this morning was a massive surprise – what an honour to the recipient of the BAFTA Special Award.

"A huge thanks to everybody I’ve worked with on screen and behind the scenes over the years – the people who make Daytime TV are very special people.

"Now I have to go and look for a showstopping frock to wear to the Television Awards on 12th May!"

The BAFTA Television Awards will be broadcasted on BBC One and iPlayer on Sunday May 12 at 7pm.
