A spectacular house that was previously owned by Lorraine Kelly has just gone up for sale.

Easter Bendochy House in Perthshire was where the Scottish TV icon lived with husband Steve Smith and daughter Rosie between 2005 and 2010. It is now available to buy for offers over £795,000.

As reported by the Scottish Daily Express, the property was originally a milk shed. It was then purchased by developer Christine McGuinnes, along with the neighbouring buildings, in the 1990s.

After this, the unique property was converted into a small collection of country homes — with Easter Bendochy House being the centrepiece. Kelly reportedly once revealed that she loved standing on its terrace and watching the sun set during the five years she lived there.

After the presenter relocated to Broughty Ferry in 2010, Easter Bendochy House was purchased by Nick Tulloch. Speaking to The Courier in November 2020, he revealed: "We never actually met Lorraine, as it was Steve who showed us round.

"She talked a lot in interviews about how they enjoyed Broughty Ferry but still missed Easter Bendochy. After we moved in we found a glossy magazine where she talked about how she loved standing on the terrace watching the sunset."

After buying the house, Tulloch and his wife Sarah transformed it into an eco-friendly haven that features a ground-source heat pump that generates around £1,800 annually from the feed-in tariff. To further reduce their carbon footprint, the couple installed 18 solar panels that also help to slash energy bills.

The home boasts a fabulous reception hall with exposed stone walls and a galleried landing, complemented by French doors in the living room, dining room, and office that lead out to the lush gardens. Meanwhile, the kitchen is a chef's dream, with a central island, a split butler sink, and an Aga cooker.

Elsewhere, two holiday lets — Sidlaws and The Bothy — occupy the original steading. These come with added luxuries like a gym, a games room, and a home cinema equipped with comfy seating, atmospheric lighting, and a top-of-the-line sound system.

Easter Bendochy House is nestled within four acres of idyllic grounds, while the charming towns of Coupar Angus and Blairgowrie are only a few minutes away.

Estate agents Strutt and Parker commented: "The property has outstanding accommodation including four bedrooms and two well-equipped apartments currently let as holiday accommodation. The main house has a unique layout centred around a crescent-shaped reception hall, with most of the accommodation taking full advantage of the magnificent views to the south, across the Perthshire countryside."

Meanwhile, during his chat with The Courier, Nick revealed: "If you go out the gate at the bottom of our garden the farm track takes you down to the river. From there you can walk for miles along the riverbank."
