Los Angeles Education Workers Strike for Higher Pay, Better Staffing

Striking education workers marched outside John F Kennedy High School in Los Angeles, California, on Tuesday, March 21, calling for better pay and increased staffing in local schools.

Members of the Service Employees International Union (SEIU) representing school staff such as cafeteria workers, bus drivers, and special education assistants began their three-day strike on Tuesday, local media reported.

On Wednesday, SEIU members were joined on the picket lines by teachers from United Teachers Los Angeles.
