Louis Rees-Zammit went back to where it all started over the weekend, to Cardiff Rugby.

The 23-year-old is back in the UK for a few weeks before he returns to Kansas to prepare for the new NFL season. The former rugby star is hoping to earn a place on the final 53-man roster for the 2024/2025 campaign.

In the meantime, Rees-Zammit has been enjoying time spent with family and friends. He attended Royal Ascot with his brother and a few pals on Friday, and has now been pictured in the Cardiff Rugby clubhouse pulling a pint.

The former Gloucester Rugby speedster was in attendance for the Headway charity match at the Arms Park. UWIC Old Boys faced Headway Select XV in the clash, with all funds going to Headway.

Rees-Zammit came through the ranks at Llandaff initially, then joining Rumney, before being picked up by Cardiff Blues academy. From there the Welshman moved to study at Hartpury College and joined English Premiership side Gloucester.

As well as visiting the Arms Park, Rees-Zammit was back at the home of Welsh rugby last week, attending the Taylor Swift gig at the Principality Stadium.

He's also had a huge new tattoo done on his arm, paying for all the travel expenses for tattooist Lewis Greig to come down from Edinburgh.

The match in the capital ended up raising £3,700 for Headway, who help people affected by acquired brain injury to rebuild their lives. They are based in Llandough Hospital and support between 500 and 600 people every year.

Starting out from humble beginnings, Headway was born in 1985 as a support group for people with ABI and their families.
