EastEnders star Louisa Lytton has made a special Mother's Day announcement to say she is expecting her first child.
The actor, who plays Ruby Allen in the BBC soap, shared a sweet video to announce her happy news and captioned it with a heartfelt message to her own mum.
Lytton, 32, filmed herself opening a notecard with the words "Just a little note to say" on the front, and "there's a baby on the way" printed inside.
The Instagram video also featured herself and fiance Ben Bhanvra pointing at her baby bump, Bhanvra reading a Pregnancy For Men book, and their dog wearing a neckerchief with the message "My parents are getting me a human".
Her caption read: "Dear Mum, If I am a fraction of the mother you are, I know I’ll be the best.
"You have held my hand for 32 years, you have taught me right from wrong, corrected my spelling, and helped me see the light at the end of every single tunnel.
"And now you will guide me to becoming a mummy. (Just try not to move yourself in or Ben might leave.)
"Happy Mother’s Day All, to those that are here, that are not with us in person but with us every moment and to those on a journey. L xx"
Lytton's EastEnders co-stars were some of the first to offer their congratulations.
Brooke Kinsella, who used to play Kelly Taylor in the soap, wrote: "I cannot wait to squeeze you bubba. My little one is having a little one!"
Gurlaine Kaur Garcha, who stars as Ash Kaur, commented: "OH MY GOD!!!!!!! congratulations!!!! i am so so so happy for you!!!! ahhhhh!!!!!"
Clair Norris, who plays Bernadette Taylor, wrote: "Congratulations!! This is adorable."
Lytton and Bhanvra got engaged in 2019 and earlier this year, she posted on Instagram that her wedding dress was still in the shop because she was nervous about collecting it as she wasn't sure whether weddings would be going ahead this year.
