Louisiana Boaters Rescued After Vessel Stranding

Two boaters were rescued by the Coast Guard near Hopedale, Louisiana, after becoming stranded on Friday, April 19.

Footage released by the US Coast Guard District 8 shows the rescue in the early hours of Saturday.

Officials said authorities were alerted to the missing boaters at 10:30 pm on Friday.

A helicopter crew located the boaters early on Saturday, the Coast Guard said, and brought them to safety in Hopedale Marina. They were said to be in stable condition. Credit: U.S. Coast Guard District 8 via Storyful
