Louvre Museum Closed by French Labor Union Protest

A labor union protest closed the Louvre Museum in Paris on Monday, March 27, as action against the French government’s pension reforms continued.

Protesters can be heard singing in footage recorded near the Louvre by @SkomskiT on Monday morning.

Several unions joined the blockade of the museum.

Protests in France have escalated since the government’s decision to bypass parliament with its unpopular pension reforms, which include raising the age of retirement from 62 to 64 for most people. Credit: @SkomskiT via Storyful
