Love Island fans all saying the same thing about Devon heartthrob Joel

Love Island fans are concerned for an islander who seems to have disappeared in the latest villa drama. Since the doors to Casa Amor opened, bringing six new fiery contestants into the mix, the tension with the Islanders has been palpable.

However, viewers are confused as one particular Islander appears to have faded into the background after arriving less than a week ago as a bombshell addition. Joel Kirby, 22, fitness content creator and postgraduate student, hails from the Braunton area in North Devon, entered Love Island ahead of fan-favourite show feature Casa Amor.

But, Devon heartthrob Joel has sparked some concern from fans since he entered the villa. Eagle-eyed fans have noticed that the fitness guru has not made that big of a splash, with some saying he’s just there for a “free holiday”.

A handful of fans have taken to social media to ask where Joel is. In response to a clip posted by Love Island, one person said: “Never mind Joey, where the hell is Joel......and Lionel? Both have disappeared with no airtime. I don't think Joel has spoken once since night he arrived. How did he pass an audition for the show as clearly no chat / personality!”

Another fan said the Devon star came for the holiday and not to find love. They added: “Joel just came for a free holiday, what’s he done apart from get a tan and introduce himself #LoveIsland”. Others echoed this, saying: “so is Joel there for a free holiday? #loveisland”

Others seemed more concerned with Joel’s lack of screen time. One said: “where is Joel? #loveisland”. Someone else added: “Is Joel still in Casa? He hasn’t been shown at all, really odd! #loveisland”

More fans were torn up over the lack of Joel on their screens. One fan said: “Another episode where Joel had precisely 0.2 seconds of airtime #LoveIsland”.

Love Island airs nightly on ITV2 and ITVX at 9pm.
