But Love Island fans who think things could be spiced up with the addition of another man or woman in the villa can vote for which they would like to see join the group first.

The programme introduces bombshells regularly during the series to give contestants the option of whether to stay with their partner, or recouple with someone else.

Last year's summer series was won by two bombshells who ended up together, Ekin-Su Culculoglu and Davide Sanclimenti.

Spence, a 25-year-old business development executive from Norwich, says she is "the whole package... flirty, forward and very confident".

She added: "When I was drunk I climbed over the gates of my friend's house, fell and almost lost my leg. I was in hospital for two weeks but they stitched me back up. It left me with a big scar on my leg but I’m so blasé about it, if I’m in a bikini you can’t not see it."

Her competition to enter the villa first is Clare, a 23-year-old semi-pro footballer from Barnsley.

He says he is mates with Robbie Savage, who is the director of his football club, and is doing Love Island to look for a wife.

But talking about what gives him the ick, Clare said: "‘Birthday make-up’ - you know when make-up is done professionally for an event and it’s just too much, like blue eyeshadow and stuff? Girls don’t need that."

Voting opened at 8am today on the Love Island app and will close at 9pm on Friday, 13 January with the contestant who gets the highest number of votes entering the villa first.

Love Island returns on Monday at 9pm on ITV2.
