Love Island fans were delighted on Wednesday afternoon when a start date for the new series was confirmed.

The popular dating show will return to Majorca next month as a whole new set of Islanders will go on a quest to find love in the infamous villa.

The hopeful singletons will take to our screens on Monday, June 3.

Taking to their official Love Island Instagram page, a picture of host Maya Jama posing in a stunning red dress was posted, alongside the caption: "We’re coming in hot! Love Island returns Monday 3rd June #LoveIsland."

And fans couldn't contain their excitement at the news.

One wrote: "cancelling ALL my plans for the summer."

Another added: "Actually can't wait because it is my comfort show."

Whilst one penned: " love island is always a vibe."

According to reports, Love Island will be launched across the ITV network for the first time ever as the first episode will be shown on ITV1, ITV2 and ITVX.

Maya Jama is making her return as host to the delight of fans, while ITV2 spin-off Aftersun will also make its comeback this summer. Fans were devastated they missed out on the additional programme during the Love Island: All Stars season earlier this year. ITV are yet to announce the cast of the 2024 summer series.

Love Island: Aftersun will also return to screens live from London every Sunday on ITV2 and ITVX hosted by Maya Jama alongside an all star array of regular panellists.

Sam Thompson and Indiyah Polack will resume their roles joined by new pannelists Amy Hart, Chris Taylor and Jordan Stephens as they join celebrity guests to discuss all the goings on from the Villa this summer.

Indiyah Polack will continue to host Love Island: The Morning After podcast joined by Amy Hart and Chris Taylor every Tuesday to Saturday now available to watch visually for the first time ever. Together they will be joined by a rotation of celebrity Love Island fans as well as the dumped Islanders fresh from the Villa to catch up on all the latest action.

Love Island’s recent All Star series remains the biggest digital programme of the year to date as well as attracting the largest 16-34 commercial audience so far (1.4M), the show's launch episode also attracted over 3.4 million viewers.

Mike Spencer, Creative Director, Lifted Entertainment said: “We are thrilled that Aftersun is back, as the home for all of the exclusive Love Island chat and gossip this summer. We are very excited to have an A-list line up of talent with the brilliant Indiyah and Sam returning alongside Amy, Jordan and Chris all ready to spill the tea alongside the incredible Maya Jama. This summer really will be one to remember!”
