Love Island's Wil Anderson kept 'in the dark' by ITV over brother Elliot's Newcastle exit

Wil Anderson is going to get a big shock when he leaves the Love Island villa, as it's been confirmed that he WON'T be told about brother Elliot's exit from Newcastle United.

When Whitler Bay lad Wil, 23, went into the ITV dating show as a bombshell two weeks ago, footballer sibling Elliot was one of the first to offer his public support, with the 21-year-old midfielder taking to Instagram to celebrate his entrance to the villa. Well now it's turned out to be an action packed week for both of them as, on the same day that the annual Casa Amor twist began on Love Island, Elliot completed a transfer from NUFC to Nottingham Forest.

The highly rated youngster's £35m move was one that seemed to come from nowhere, arriving after the club explored several different avenues to help them comply with the Premier League's profit and sustainability rules. Before posting on Instagram that he was 'proud to join such a historic club' as his Forest switch was announced, Elliot paid a heartfelt farewell to Newcastle, writing: "It’s been a dream come true to represent my club for 14 years.

"Pulling that black and white shirt on at St James' Park is a moment that will never be taken away from me. I would like to thank everyone involved with the club and all the Geordies that have supported me throughout my journey."

IT's standard practice on the Love Island for the Islanders to remain completely unaware of what is going on in the outside world, when it comes to things like major football tournaments etc, with a rare exception being when Zara was told she'd been stripped of her Miss Great Britain title in 2016.

And, when contacted by ChronicleLive on Tuesday, a Love Island spokesperson confirmed that Wil would not be told about Elliot leaving Newcastle, responding: "Islanders as normal are not told any news from the outside world while in the Villa."
