Love Island's Faye Winter reveals she's dating again after Teddy split

Love Island star Faye Winter has revealed she's dating again following her split from Teddy Soares.

The reality star appeared on the ITV dating show's 2021 series, where she came in third place with Teddy. The pair announced their split after 18 months in early 2023.

Speaking to The Mirror, Faye explained she has spent recent months focusing on herself, before gaining the confidence to re-enter the dating pool.

"I focused on myself last year and I did say, I made a commitment to myself, I wasn't even going to look, I wasn't even going to speak to the opposite sex last year — no thank you, wasn't interested, no," she said.

"But I am dating now but I'm taking that as a journey as well, I'm actually going to enjoy dating. Going out dating, even getting my confidence up to walk into a restaurant and sit down and meet somebody for a drink. Actually enjoy that time, I've never really done that before.

"I now have my own space, just to get to know somebody, but also I really like having my own space so I really need that happy medium of 'okay, you're there, we can date, but I also like my space and I like to be alone'."

Faye went on to explain that while she is ready to embrace the possibility of romance again, her dog Bonnie will always be her main focus.

"I am busy, I am a really busy person although Instagram may not see it I am busy, it's just trying to juggle it all. Bonnie, my dog, is my main priority and as long as she's okay, I can then do me afterwards but she is my main priority," she said.

"I do miss out on socials, I do miss out on events but that's how it is and I wouldn't have it any other way."

Faye's return to dating comes after she told Digital Spy that she would be looking for love in 2024.

"I've told everyone, I wanted to be single for a year, it's coming up on the second of January — set your alarms, Faye is coming out of hibernation again," she said in December of last year.

"It'll be a year to the day that I've been a single gal. I'm not even sure if I'm going to be at home, I'm going to be out roaming the streets, trying to find a man."

Love Island airs on ITV2 and streams on ITVX.
