Love Island stars Harriett Blackmore and Ronnie Vint have shared a relationship update.

The pair were recently dumped from the island, and appeared to have been going strong as they departed from the villa.

In a new chat with Digital Spy, the couple have now shared a positive update on their relationship, with the two set to head on their first date away from the cameras.

"For me and Harriett, what's next – tonight we're going on our first date outside the villa, which should be fun," Ronnie confirmed.

"I'm looking forward to that. And yeah, from the ending out there and to now, it's been nothing but positive between us, and looking forward to seeing where we're going."

Harriett added: "Same here. Obviously it's really different from being in the villa with everyone and then so nice being away from everyone. So just going to carry on how we are, I guess."

Speaking immediately following their show exit, Harriet said at the time that herself and Ronnie would "for sure" keep their relationship going.

"We've had such a good week. I'll definitely see him on the outside and of course that's so different to Villa life," she added.

Ronnie admitted that it had "bumpy start with all my triangles," though added that "everything came full circle and [he] felt like that last week we've been really good".

"We had a lovely date and we've been getting to know each other more and spending more time together. At the end of the day I've gone there to find someone and I've come out with Harriett, wherever that goes, who knows. But it was really nice with her in there."

In other Love Island news, the show's Casa Amor episode on July 3 has broken a viewership record, earning this season's highest viewership so far.

Love Island airs on ITV2 and streams on ITVX.
