Love Island's Hayley Hughes announces birth of son
Love Island star Hayley Hughes has announced the birth of her child, with the former Islander welcoming a baby boy.
The Liverpudlian appeared in the fourth series of the ITV show back in 2018, spending nearly two weeks in the villa before being eliminated alongside Charlie Frederick.

She announced earlier this year that she was expecting her first child with her boyfriend, whose identity she has chosen to keep hidden, and today announced on Instagram that she had given birth to a baby boy.
“25/08/2023 ☁️ you are everything & more than we could have ever imagined my precious boy 🧸” she wrote in the caption, which accompanied a photo of her boyfriend holding their baby. “I can’t believe you are ours to love forever 🌎 my little family of 3 🤍 #cloud9 #unconditional #myworld #perfection”
Hayley’s post also included several other photos of their baby boy, with a short video clip showing their son having his head washed. The comment section was inundated with congratulatory messages, with one follower writing: “Omg congratulations a thousand times over I’m so happy for you and proud of you xxxxxxxxx”

Hughes has kept a relatively low profile since her time on Love Island, in which she accused producers of editing footage to make her look dumb: “There were conversations viewers didn't see. I wasn't just sitting there saying Brexit would affect the trees – there was more to it,” she revealed.
“Obviously, the show is only an hour long and they have to clip it down. So what I was saying didn't make sense. It looked like I'd just come out with anything. You talk about anything in the villa because you have got so much time to spare,” she added.
Love Island airs on ITV2 and streams on ITVX.
