Love Island's Laura Anderson has slammed her baby's father, Hollyoaks star Gary Lucy, accusing him of not being present in their daughter's life for several months.

Laura, from Stirling, soared to stardom through ITV2's Love Island and subsequently had a fleeting romance with Gary, after the pair met on Channel 4's dating show, Celebs Go Dating.

They welcomed baby Bonnie last September following their rollercoaster relationship, which had highs and lows around the time of Bonnie's birth before they finally went their separate ways.

The reality star didn't hold back from criticising Gary on social media, revealing in an April post while playing with Bonnie that the actor hadn't visited his child for some months.

Laura said: "How anyone could go without seeing or supporting their child is beyond me. I love you, Bonnie Rose."

She recently hit back at an internet troll regarding the actor. When questioned if her daughter sees her father, Laura responded: "Do you mean has her daddy seen her....No, he hasn't since 2nd January if you would like to direct those questions to him as I have no control over the actions of others."

Gary's representatives have been contacted for comment. Gary previously shared a collection of clips of his children on his social media following Laura's original criticism in April, reports the Mirror.

He is the father of four other children India,18, Elvis, 12, Sadie, seven, and four year old Theodore from his prior marriage to Natasha Gray.

Fans were quick to comment, with one saying: "Bonnie is another pickle she is absolutely adorable and needs her daddy too. Honestly I know what it's like growing up without my dad even though I knew he was out there... he chose not to be interested, It's so so hard through life... she needs you."

While Gary didn't reply directly to the comments, he shared a telling quote on his Instagram stories: "When you discover your self-worth, you lose interest in anyone who doesn't see it."

In an exclusive with The Mirror, Laura who's just nabbed her 'dream job' at Capital Radio Scotland opened up about being a single mum, something she hadn't planned for but is embracing wholeheartedly.

She confessed: "I think it was hard to get my head around initially, it wasn't what I expected. But that's the cards I was dealt in the end. Of course, I'm going to make it work for my child, even more so. I feel like I'm a really good mum, to be honest."
