Love Island's Samie and Tom open up about relationship milestone

Love Island's Samie Elishi and Tom Clare have opened up about their big relationship milestone.

The couple took home third place in the reality show's 2023 winter series and seem to have found love, but they didn't make their relationship official until they left the villa.

Discussing the big moment with Digital Spy, Tom said that he took Samie to her favourite restaurant for an "intimate" meal away from all the "madness".

"It's been a bit mad since we've come out of the villa and I didn't want to make it a big thing on social media," he said. "I wanted it to be intimate, just me and Samie. Samie said I couldn't get my words out."

"He couldn't," Samie quipped. "I had to say: 'Are you asking me to be your girlfriend?' He was like: 'Be ready by 7', and then it turned to 8, and then he took me to our favourite restaurant."

The bombshell continued: "It was just us. We had no madness and there was no one coming up to us. It was just us and it was nice. And then he asked me, and obviously it went well."

While Sami and Tom have made things official, Casey O'Gorman and Rosie Seabrook have already called their relationship off.

Casey revealed the news during an Instagram Q&A after a fan asked how things were going with Rosie since leaving the villa.

"Rosie and I have spoken… she's a great girl," he replied. "Life outside the villa is just very different and we will remain friends moving forward."

Love Island airs nightly on ITV2, and is available via catch up on ITVX and BritBox.
