Love Island star Tanyel Revan has announced she is engaged just 10 months after appearing on the ITV reality show.

The hairstylist from North London entered the villa earlier this year for the second-ever winter edition of the show, coupling up with Ron Hall and Kai Fagan.

However, she has since embarked on a relationship with her pre-show boyfriend Ediz, a property developer from London, with him popping the question during a recent holiday in Turkey.

She announced her engagement via a Reel on Instagram that shows the couple enjoying a luxury boat ride as the sun sets before Ediz gets on one knee and asks Tanyel to marry him.

Talking to The Sun, Tanyel shared that she had an inclining that Ediz was set to propose during their recent break.

"I kind of had a feeling from the beginning of the holiday that he would propose," she said. "I thought 'isn't it a bit strange that my family are flying out two days later?'

"He's older, I know he's ready to settle down and have kids, so I had a feeling but I wasn't 100% sure."

She went on to say that she "obviously said yes" during the adorable proposal and that it was "exactly how she wanted it".

Love Island airs on ITV2 and streams on ITVX. Love Island Games will air on Peacock in the US.
