Lucien Laviscount did not hold back when asked about Gary Lineker being taken off air over his opinion on immigration.
The football pundit was told to 'step back' from presenting while it was decided if his tweet referring to Nazi Germany in his criticism of the Home Office's crackdown on Channel crossings breached BBC guidelines of impartiality.
Emily In Paris star Laviscount was asked what he thought about the row on the red carpet at Elton John's annual Oscars party.

The 30-year-old actor told ITV's Good Morning Britain: "F*** the Tories."
Laviscount apparently made a rude hand gesture at the camera as it was blurred out on screen.
Musician Nile Rogers was also at the party for the 95th Academy Awards in Los Angeles.
Asked about the Lineker row he said: "If somehow caring about people offends somebody, you know what I say to that? It's not good for television."
Match Of The Day host Lineker became embroiled in a row after he publicly criticised the government on social media.
Referencing home secretary Suella Braverman's plan to keep migrant boats from entering the UK, Lineker wrote: “Good heavens, this is beyond awful."
He added: "There is no huge influx. We take far fewer refugees than other major European countries. This is just an immeasurably cruel policy directed at the most vulnerable people in language that is not dissimilar to that used by Germany in the 30s, and I’m out of order?"
The BBC's decision to take the presenter off air sparked a debate about freedom of speech.
BBC Director-General Tim Davie has now confirmed the corporation has reached an agreement with Lineker and he will return to screens, without having to apologise for his comments.
