Lucifer star Tom Ellis shares high-flying Deckerstar stunt pic

Lucifer star Tom Ellis has shared a spectacular stunt picture with his followers.

The actor, best known for playing the role of Lucifer Morningstar on the Netflix series, posted a snap that had the hearts of Deckerstar fans skip a beat.

Ahead of season six (which is set to premiere next month), the actor posted a stunt shot of himself together with actress Lauren German, who portrays Detective Chloe Decker, both wearing security cables, with the Lord of Darkness holding Decker in his arms across a just too perfect blue sky.

Does this mean that Lucifer is finally taking Chloe flying? It appears so.

"Just hanging around waiting!" Ellis captioned the Instagram shot, including a countdown to the upcoming season.

The two characters are in a whirlwind romance, with fans eager to know what the last and final season has in store for them.

This isn’t the first picture Ellis has shared from the set of season six. In July, the actor posted a behind-the-scenes shot of his character in one of his signature dapper suits posing with a DeLorean, the time-travelling car from the beloved trilogy of Back To The Future.

"Good things are coming," Ellis wrote on Instagram back then.

Despite fans were hoping for a seventh season, it looks that Lucifer won’t be returning for a new instalment after the upcoming season. The sixth and final chapter, however, is said to tie up all the loose threads and be a satisfying conclusion for the popular show.

"My hope for our audience is that they too have appreciated the journey," writer Chris Rafferty told Script magazine in June.

"That they've enjoyed all the emotions, good and bad, that we've guided them through. And that they've also found a sense of family, like I have," he added.

Lucifer returns for a sixth and final season on September 10.
