Luke Evans adopts Northern Irish lingo as he bids farewell to his 'epic' time in Belfast

Hollywood actor Luke Evans has shared a message for Northern Ireland as he packs up after filming his latest movie.

The Dracula and Beauty and the Beast star was in Belfast over the last number of weeks filming his sci-fi blockbuster World Breaker.

The Welsh actor had been making the most of his time in Northern Ireland while working, being spotted and posting pictures from a number of popular local spots.

At the weekend, Luke took to social media to share his farewell message to Belfast as filming wrapped on World Breaker.

Showing off his newfound NI lingo, he said: "Ats us nai.

"Belfast you were epic. Gonna miss you all. Thank you for everything."

World Breaker follows a father who hides his daughter on an island to keep her safe while he equips her for survival and the battles ahead - the film was supported by Northern Ireland Screen.

The actor was spotted exploring tourist hotspots such as Belfast City Hall, the Giants Causeway and the Duke of York Pub in Belfast's Cathedral Quarter.

He also got his fair taste of Northern Ireland's hospitality industry, having popped into top restaurants such as Top Blade in St Anne's Square and The Groomsport in Co Down.
