Luke Evans to launch men's basics collection

Luke Evans is set to launch a men's basics collection called BDXY.

The Welsh actor is gearing up to launch BDXY, a new menswear brand that will consist of a selection of everyday essentials.

BDXY, inspired by the movie heroes of Old Hollywood, is preparing to launch its first clothing collection, which will consist of 12 pieces, including T-shirts, tank tops, boxer shorts, briefs and swim shorts. The collection will also include accessories such as baseball caps and tote bags.

"BDXY has been a labour of love, and the journey to bring it to life has been an incredible one, and it's finally beginning!!!" the 44-year-old wrote in a recent Instagram post. "I cannot wait to share this with you! Stay tuned for @bdxystudio launching very soon...!"

Evans has teamed up with his partner, architect Fran Tomas, and his stylist Christopher Brown, whose other clients include David Beckham and Loewe.

The brand's debut campaign features the Beauty and the Beast actor and three models. The campaign was shot on a 1950s boat in Ibiza by photographer Valero Rioja.

In a new interview with WWD, the actor explained the reasoning behind the small size of the debut collection.

"For us to have total creative control, we decided that we would keep the collection very small, and that I would finance the whole thing," he told the publication. "So we're all directors and we have shareholders, but it's all my money."

BDXY will launch later this week.
