Yahoo News Lupin part 3 finally confirms October release date on Netflix
A beloved character is back in La Ville Lumière... and it's not Lily Collins' Emily Cooper this time.
After having been first announced in 2021, the third season of Netflix's crime drama Lupin is finally coming to our screens. The streaming giant gave the news on their social platforms, sharing the poster for the upcoming instalment on Twitter.
"Guess who's back in the city of light," Netflix teased alongside an image of protagonist Omar Sy (Jurassic World Dominion) as Assane Diop.

The third chapter in the professional thief saga will debut this autumn, with Netflix announcing: "Lupin Part 3 premieres October 5".
Fans of the character inspired by gentleman thief Arsène Lupin were left wondering when Assane would get back on screen since Part 2 premiered in June 2021.
Now it seems that viewers will finally get to know more about the protagonist's showdown with unscrupulous tycoon Hubert Pellegrini (Hervé Pierre), responsible for Assane's father Babakar's death.
Season 1 revealed the difficult teenage years of Assane, left an orphan when his dad died in jail after Pellegini framed him for a crime he didn't commit.

At the end of season 2, it seems that Assane managed in his mission to expose Hubert's crimes publicly, landing the businessman in custody. It isn't clear, however, whether the villain would stay behind bars for long given all of his corrupted connections.
Season 3 may tackle just that, together with giving Assane's adorable canine companion J'accuse a more prominent role.
"She's a real diva. She's really difficult on set, but we love her," Sy told Entertainment Weekly. "I don't want to spoil anything, but we have more coming with her."
Lupin part 1 and 2 are available to stream on Netflix. Part 3 premieres on October 5.
