Actors Joshua Jackson and Lupita Nyong’o have found love again.

The pair first made headlines in October 2023, when they were seen spending time together at a concert in Los Angeles. Dating rumors about the two quickly spread, but their coupling wasn’t confirmed until later that year. Simultaneously, both Jackson and Nyong’o were going through public breakups.

The A Quiet Place: Day One actress had just ended her relationship with ESPN host Selema Masekela, while Jackson’s wife of more than three years, Jodie Turner-Smith, had recently filed for divorce due to “irreconcilable differences.” The two share a daughter, Juno Rose Diana Jackson, who was born in April 2020.

A couple of weeks after news broke of Jackson’s divorce, the Fringe actor was spotted with Nyong’o at a Janelle Monáe concert in L.A.

In photos posted by TMZ, Jackson is standing alongside Nyong’o in the audience surrounded by mutual friends.

October 19, 2023: Lupita Nyong’o announces split from boyfriend Selema Masekela

The day after the concert, Nyong’o announced her split from boyfriend and sports commentator Masekela in a lengthy note on Instagram.

"At this moment, it is necessary for me to share a personal truth and publicly dissociate myself from someone I can no longer trust," she wrote. "I find myself in a season of heartbreak because of a love suddenly and devastatingly extinguished by deception.”

Nyong’o revealed that she was “tempted to run into the shadows and hide,” while “experiencing the grip of heartbreak.” But rather, the actress wrote that she was reminding herself “that the magnitude of the pain I am feeling is equal to the measure of my capacity for love. And so, I am choosing to face the pain, cultivating the courage to meet my life exactly as it is, and trusting that this too shall pass."

December 5, 2023: Joshua Jackson and Lupita Nyong’o go public with their romance

The two sealed their relationship status when they were photographed walking and holding hands in Joshua Tree, Calif., in December 2023. They both donned comfortable clothing with matching beanies and sunglasses. A close-up shot of the pair shows them smiling at one another while mid-conversation.

Less than 24 hours prior, the couple had been spotted grocery shopping at Erewhon Market in L.A., and driving together in a Tesla.

February 26, 2024: Lupita Nyong’o says she’s done talking about her love life publicly

In her digital cover story for PORTER, the Us star revealed that despite being previously open with fans about her dating history, she wanted to turn a new page in which her love life is private.

The actress also explained why she chose to share the details of her breakup with Masekela online, saying, "I was living in a lot of pain and heartbreak. I looked at the environment of my social media and thought I don’t want to be a part of this illusion that everything is always coming up roses. Surely there is a lesson for me to learn in this, and I just want to be real about it."

March 4, 2024: Joshua Jackson celebrates Lupita Nyong’o’s birthday in Mexico

Jackson and Nyong’o took their love international while celebrating the Oscar winner’s 41st birthday in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.

In photos obtained by PEOPLE, the lovebirds were seen playing in the water, while another image showed the pair snuggled together in an intimate embrace. They were also pictured holding hands while enjoying a leisurely stroll along the water.

"They vacationed in Puerto Vallarta for Lupita’s birthday," a source told PEOPLE. "They only had eyes for each other all weekend. They kept kissing, laughing and just had the best time."

During an interview with The Cut, Turner-Smith admitted that she hopes her ex finds “happiness” with the Black Panther actress.

"Good for them," she said of their blossoming romance, adding, "We need happiness in order to peacefully co-parent."
