Luxury Boats Damaged in Italy's Rapallo Port After Storm

Storms continued to wreak havoc in northern Italy on Tuesday, October 30, as the death toll from days of heavy rain, flooding, and high winds climbed to 12.

This video shows damaged and partially capsized luxury boats in the port of Rapallo, in the tourist hotspot Portofino.

Flooding continued to cause major disruption in the Venice and Veneto region, while in northwest Italy storms pounded the Ligurian coast.

Italian news agency ANSA reported half the yachts at the Carlo Riva Marina in Rapallo, near Genoa, were destroyed by waves. Further to the south, the Cinque Terre town of Portofino was left cut off after the main access road collapsed into the sea. Credit: Mario Donatelli via Storyful
