I’m A Celebrity viewers have called for Rebekah Vardy and Amir Khan to be axed from the ITV reality show after homophobic tweets reportedly posted by the two of them resurfaced.

The pair, who entered the jungle camp on Sunday night, are said to have used the term “gay” pejoratively on Twitter.

A screenshot of an alleged tweet from Vardy, who is married to professional footballer Jamie, in 2013 reads: “@MrHarryWood @xelahopkins1984 @Little_Miss_Fox what about the 3rd ‘bird’ the gay walker?” @Jay_Walker25 ginger gay w***** ha ha PMSL”.

An alleged post by Khan reads: “Abuse @saj23x for keeping pictures on his phone, he is defiantly gay after today’s tweet. AsII the guys beward, @saj23x is GAY.”
