M6, M56 and M62 motorway closures starting May 13

The M6, M56 and M62 will be partially closed this week.

The motorways, which run through Merseyside, will see closures this week as National Highways continue to repair the region's roads. These include the M6, M53, M56 and M57 according to the National Highways journey planning tool.

Here are the motorway closures you can expect in Merseyside this week. This list is subject to changes from National Highways.

Monday, May 13

The M6 northbound will be closed between junctions J23 and J26 from 9pm on May 13 to 5am on May 14.

The M6 southbound will be closed between junctions J22 and J21A from 9pm on May 13 to 6am on May 14.

The M56 eastbound will be closed between junctions J12 and J11 from 8pm on May 13 to 6am on May 14.

The M62 westbound will be closed overnight between junctions J7 and J6 on May 13.

Tuesday, May 14

The M6 northbound will be closed between junctions J23 and J26 from 9pm on May 13 to 5am on May 14.

The M6 southbound will be closed between junctions J22 and J21A from 9pm on May 13 to 6am on May 14.

The M56 eastbound will be closed between junctions J12 and J11 from 8pm on May 13 to 6am on May 14.

Wednesday, May 15

No closures.

Thursday, May 16

The M56 eastbound will be closed between junctions J12 and J11 from 8pm on May 16 to 6am on May 17.

Friday, May 17

The M6 northbound will be closed between junctions J23 and J26 from 9pm on May 17 to 5am on May 18.

The M56 eastbound will be closed between junctions J12 and J11 from 8pm on May 16 to 6am on May 17.
