Madison Beer is set to return with a new album, Silence Between Songs, which will be released on September 15.

The American singer confirmed the news in a post to Instagram yesterday (June 1). “SILENCE BETWEEN SONGS ,, my sophomore album will be yours on september 15th ♡ my new single ‘Home To Another One’ OUT THIS FRIDAY !!!!!!!” she wrote.

“i can’t believe i’m finally saying this, tears in my eyes trying to articulate how i feel. the closer it gets, the more we’ll talk about it, but i am just so excited to release this record. i’m so excited for it to be yours. i’ll find more words soon…,, :’) for now… SEPTEMBER 15TH!!!!!!!”

Beer’s second album is the follow-up to her 2021 debut Life Support. Per a press release, it is set to explore “themes of growth, reflection, and introspection” and will pay homage to “some of her favorite artists such as Lana Del Rey, The Beatles, The Beach Boys and Tame Impala.”

“I’ve learned so much about myself and my artistry on the journey of the last two years since my last record,” said Beer. “This album tells the story of so many different pieces of me that I discovered
in the moments of pause where I settled down from the noise and learned the most about myself. I hope my fans are as inspired listening to it as I was when creating it.”

To coincide with the announcement, Beer has shared the album’s lead single, ‘Home To Another One’, which premiered as Radio 1’s Hottest Song In The World last night. She co-directed its accompanying music video with Aerin Moreno, which brings its lyrics to life as she discovers her partner has been betraying her throughout their entire relationship.

In April, Beer released a memoir, The Half Of It, which she had been working on for nearly two years. In an interview with People, where she was asked why she wanted to write a memoir aged 23, she said:  “I really wanted to write this book now because I thought sharing some of the ups and downs in my life might be able to help other people navigate and relate.

“I called the book The Half of It as I know there will be more evolution and more to my story, but for now, I wanted to share my story in the hope that my journey might be comforting to others.”
