During the final commitment ceremony of Married at First Sight Australia 2024 one bride was left horrified and "humiliated" when it was revealed that her husband was texting another woman behind her back. Lauren, who is married to Jono, was very shocked to find out he had been texting a different bride in the experiment, Ellie.

Ellie was married to Ben, however, their marriage ended quite quickly and she left the show. It has now been revealed, by Tori who is another bride in the series, that Ellie is regularly texting Jono and Lauren didn't know this. Want less ads? Finding out about it at the final commitment ceremony, Lauren was left in tears. She said: "It is just a bit triggering for me, in the past I have looked like the fool. I feel hurt and betrayed. I feel like I've been lied to... I look stupid, it is just humiliating."

She added: "It is not good enough for me... I just don't feel like I can trust Jono right now." Jono tried to explain that his texts to Ellie were just friendly however none of the fellow brides or grooms believed him and romance expert John Aiken said it was "not acceptable".

John said: "Jono, you need to understand, this is not acceptable... it creates an insecurity in the relationship, it erodes the foundation." Elsewhere in the episode another couple, Lucinda and Timothy, called it quits and left the show at the final commitment ceremony.
