MAFS Australia star quits experiment for the second time

Married at First Sight Australia spoilers follow.

Tuesday's (March 12) episode of Married at First Sight Australia saw Natalie Parham quit the experiment for the second time.

Monday's tense first commitment ceremony saw Natalie vote to leave the show, while her husband Collins Christian chose to stay — meaning the couple would remain in the experiment to work on their relationship.

The day after the ceremony, Collins tried to act on expert John Aiken's advice to fight for his marriage by showering Natalie with compliments and explaining his decision to stay on the show.

"I think about the wedding day, and I just think about the banter. I wanna fight for this. I put stay because I think about the times we can play Mario Kart. I put stay just to show you and really also tell you I'm trying my best," he said.

"Can you tell me times that we've been together apart from the wedding day that's made you happy?" Natalie then asked, to which her groom replied: "Every moment I see you I am happy, because that's what I'm here for."

Collins' "manufactured" response was the last straw for Natalie, who instantly decided to call time on their relationship.

"This feels like an Oscars performance. I'm sorry I can't listen to you without hearing orchestra," she said. "I can't communicate with someone that talks to me like we're on the set of Neighbours or Home and Away.

"It just feels so manufactured. If this is the real him and that's him forever, I could not do that, it's exhausting."

Natalie tried to explain to a shocked Collins why she was leaving the experiment for good, saying: "I don't feel that I can build a romantic connection with you, I do not see a future, I can't see us forming an emotional and romantic connection, and I am certain of that. It's time for me to go. I need to take myself away, out of this experiment."

The bride then packed her bags and said her final goodbyes to her speechless groom, whose intentions she continued to doubt.

"I don't think he's devastated because his time with me has ended... I think if he could stay on MAFS by himself, he would," Natalie said before exiting the apartments for the final time.
