Married At First Sight Australia star Lucinda Light has shared details of her current relationship status with co-star Timothy Smith.

The duo met at the altar on season 11 of the hit reality show after being paired up by the panel of relationship experts, but ended up breaking things off after deciding they were better off as friends.

While the former couple appeared to part on good terms on the show, it seems they’ve drifted further apart since filming finished.

After the reality stars recently unfollowed each other on Instagram, Lucinda has now addressed how she feels towards her ex.

Posting on Instagram, Lucinda reflected on how much her life has changed since the show ended.

"Getting out of Married at First Sight has been both exciting and overwhelming," she wrote. "I’ve been trying to do it all - spinning all the plates at once and finding myself shackled to my computer most days."

Checking in on the Aussie reality star via the comments section, a fan questioned if she was still on "speaking terms" with Timothy.

"Hopefully one day Tim is up for being friends. I certainly am," Lucinda replied.

This comes just weeks after Timothy insisted he was keen to keep details of their relationship private.

"The show was filmed close to a year ago now and in regards to what happens off-camera, as we see, we all move in different directions," he explained, in an Instagram video. "A lot of the cast has dissipated, and we all form our circles or just lose touch.

"So, whatever's happened behind the scenes, I'm always gonna keep that private."

"I wish Lu all the best in the future," Timothy added. "There is no question, sometimes people's paths just take different directions, and that's where it is."
