MAFS UK's Arthur reveals real reason he missed final reunion

Married At First Sight UK star Arthur Poremba has finally admitted the truth behind his absence at the final reunion episode.

The latest series of MAFS UK drew to a close last week with the brides and grooms reuniting with the trio of relationship experts to reflect on their time in the experiment.

While most of the 2023 cast turned up to reminisce about the challenges they faced throughout their journeys, Arthur failed to attend.

Some of his MAFS co-stars recently suggested the real reason for Arthur’s absence was that he was struggling with the effects of a boozy night out.

Dishing the details on a recent Instagram Live, fellow groom JJ joked: "He was very, very ill."

However, Tasha and Ella soon chimed in to suggest Arthur was actually "hungover" while filming was taking place.

When asked in a recent interview if he really was too hungover to attend the final reunion, Arthur admitted to The Tab: "Something like that, yeah."

This comes after viewers were left "gutted" upon realising Arthur was missing from the season finale.

Sharing their thoughts on X (formerly known as Twitter), fans of "King Arthur" confessed they had hoped to hear more of his comical comments.

"Honestly, I miss Arthur. He would've given us a couple of gems tonight," one fan wrote, with another adding: "I'm gutted Arthur isn't there. He's a scream! #MAFSUK."

While the Polish-born tennis coach wasn’t able to find love in the experiment, with bride Laura breaking things off at their final vows ceremony, it seems he still won the hearts of the viewers.

Looking back at his experience on the show in a recent Instagram post, Arthur revealed how "proud" he feels of himself for taking the plunge.

"My legs were shaking waiting for Laura at the altar, worst 20 mins of my life," he wrote. "There was a lot of doubt and anxiety leading up to the wedding but you know what? I did well and I’m proud of myself."

"I give myself a lot of credit for getting out of my comfort zone for once in my life."
