The 'magic' hack to remove pavement weeds in your garden 'in minutes'
Gardeners have shared a number hacks to remove weeds from patios and gravelled areas. However, there is potential that chemicals can damage your garden, patio or your favourite plants.
As reported by the Express, one often recommended trick is to spray white vinegar to remove weeds, however patio expert at Armstrong Cheshire, Simon Cheshire has warned against it.
He said: "This is not always advisable, as the acid can damage the surface of the stones, particularly limestone or concrete pavers, as well as being harmful to wildlife and plants."

Instead of using white vinegar, Simon has suggested a handy trick - to use boiling water from your kettle, described as the "perfect solution". The expert has said the hack will "remove unsightly weeds from your patio this summer - for free".
Simon said: "This targeted method not only means your patio will end up weed-free, but it ensures there's no damage to your patio, or the environment, as there is no leftover residue left around. You should start to see results in minutes as the boiling water breaks down the weed - with full results in hours."
You should let the water in your kettle boil completely and then use the spout to aim directly as close to the weeds as you can, slowly drenching the weed fully.
Simon then says "wait for the magic to happen" as results will appear "in minutes". You should repeat the hack at the earliest sign of any future weeds.
As reported by the Express, the hot water "scalds the weeds by killing the leaves", which is what gathers light to help the weeds grow and remain strong. The expert said the hot water can get into any cracks and help dislodge and stun the taproot.
However Simon urged gardeners to not use boiling water on lawn weeds as it "will kill" it. They should also not be put near garden plants.
