Mail firm halts deliveries after notorious crow keeps attacking postman
A mail firm in Canada has halted deliveries after a postman was repeatedly attacked by a crow with a reputation for causing trouble.
Canada Post stopped delivering letters to a neighbourhood in Vancouver after the bird left the worker bleeding following a vicious attack.
The crow, known as Canuck, first shot to fame last year after his love of shiny objects led him to steal a knife from a crime scene.
Now, his reign of terror has begun again – after he began attacking the postman.
Shawn Bergman, who runs a Facebook page dedicated to Canuck’s notorious exploits, claims that he and two neighbours stopped receiving post for two entire months after the postman was attacked.
He wrote: ‘Canuck encountered the mail carrier one day and proceeded to bite him a few times causing broken skin and bleeding.
“I felt horrible when I found out that Canuck had caused harm to someone. But I understand Crow nesting season and the perils that come with it.
“This lasted for a couple of days until Canada Post stopped mail delivery to my home and to two other homes.”
Mr Bergman has since confirmed that deliveries have re-started.
